In the problems that follow, determine the deflection of this beam at a specified location by superimposing standard beam table formulas for deflection, slope, and elastic curve. All problems can be solved by application of three standard cases:
• simply supported beam with concentrated load at arbitrary location
• cantilever beam with concentrated load at tip
• simply supported beam with concentrated moment at support
You may be able to determine the deflection using only one of these cases, or you may be required to superimpose several of them.
