The figure shows the rigid bar with its right end inclined downwards.

To determine the geometry of deformation relationship, first sketch the rotated position of rigid bar ABCD after load P has been applied.

Since member (1) is connected to the rigid bar at B and member (2) is connected to the rigid bar at C, the relationship between the rigid bar deflections will be determined at those joints.
